Assumption BVM Youth Ministries
WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!
WE NEED YOU!
At Assumption BVM, there are many opportunities for our young people to become involved in parish life. However, no program can be effective without parents and adults willing to share their time and talents with our youth.
Please consider joining us to continue our ability to offer these opportunities to our youth. Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies must be followed.
For More information, please contact Susanne Brooks, Coordinator of Youth Ministry at the Rectory at 215-357-1221 or email assumptionbvmyouthministry@gmail.com

Are you ready for some normalcy? Great News! It's time to get your child back in the game. We are moving into the Yellow Phase AND we have secured a gym so we will be running our "Get Back in the Game" clinics beginning next Monday, June 8th.
The "Get Back in the Game" clinics will focus on individual skill development in the areas of footwork, shooting, finishing moves, defense, and dribbling. Players will learn how to work on their game on their own in a fun and challenging environment. Players will quench their thirst for competition as they compete against themselves, other players in the clinic, or the professional player of their choice (imagination required) in each drill. This clinic is a great opportunity to shake off the rust, develop new skills, and get those competitive juices flowing again.
In order to comply with CDC, state, and local guidelines and create a safe environment for everyone we are:
-
limiting the number of participants per session to a maximum of 12. With 6 baskets and 12 participants we will be able to put 2 players at each basket.
-
practicing social distancing by putting 2 players at each basket. Players will remain with the same partner throughout the clinic. The workout will be designed so that even the 2 players who are together at a basket will have limited contact with each other.
-
Coaches will wear a mask.
-
Participants must have their own basketball. Each participant will be given a Rising Stock basketball on the first night but should also bring their own ball in the event that we do drills that require 2 basketballs. Players will be instructed not to touch another players basketball.
-
Players and parents who come into the gym must immediately wash or sanitize their hands. Players will also be directed to wash or sanitize their hands during water/bathroom breaks and before they leave the gym at the end of the clinic.
-
Screening - Parents will be asked to fill out a quick form before each session to acknowledge that their child is symptom free. Any child who has symptoms may not participate.
-
Water bottles - Participants should bring their own water bottles. Players should never share a water bottle with anyone else or use the water fountain in the gym.
-
Parent spectators - Parents are allowed in the gym if they want to watch, however, they must wear a mask at all times. There should only be 1 parent in the gym per participant. Siblings are not allowed in the gym. There are some fields to use next to the gym for parents who have other children with them. A great opportunity for much needed exercise.
-
Sanitizing stations - There will be sanitizing stations available in the event that a basketball or some other equipment is touched by multiple people.
-
Chewing gum is not allowed.
-
There is a 10 minute buffer between clinics. Once your clinic end we ask that you immediately wash/sanitize your hands and exit the gym promptly. Participants for the next clinic should wait outside of the building and enter on the coach's signal.
NOTE: ASSUMPTION CYO IS NOT RUNNING THIS EVENT AND HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH OUTSIDE PROGRAMS. THE RISING STOCK FOLKS ARE RENTING THE GYM FROM ASSUMPTION TO RUN THEIR PROGRAM.
You can now enroll your child for CYO sports at Assumption BVM by using SI-Play!!
